We were on a golf trip to Spain & Portugal led by Golf Pro Richard Mercer. 

CGE golf was the tour organiser led by Steve Baron who travelled with our group. Steve provided first grade service to us on the ground. He made sure nothing was missed in the 17 days we were away. 

He is highly organised, approachable, thoughtful and passionate about golf. He is focused & has a deep knowledge about golf. He & his team & our golf pro put hours of research into the trip & with the help of a European golf specialist secured the best courses for us to play at, the best hotels to stay at and the best restaurants to dine at and the most informed local historians to guide us in the cities and towns we visited.

It was a hugely memorable experience & we are so impressed by the professionalism of CGE golf!

Tour to Mission Hills Shenzhen March 2026

We (two couples) booked a golfing holiday with CGE in February 2019 and had an amazing time. We tried to go again the following year, but COVID got in the way. We were finally able to return this year (March 2026) and once again we could not have been happier.

On our last visit, we stayed for 10 days and played 8 courses. This year we stayed for 12 days and played 10 courses. We stayed at the Dongguan resort. What an experience! It was amazing! Spacious 5 star accommodation, a huge selection of food from around the world and easily the best courses we have played on. In 2018, we played TPC Sawgrass and Bay Hill in Florida which was fantastic, but the golf in Dongguan was better.

From an organisational perspective, everything was first class. We left our golf clubs with the concierge on arrival and from there, they just turned up at each of the 10 courses we played – like clockwork. The caddies assigned to us were very friendly and helpful. Their advice on the greens saved us many shots.

The price quoted for our trip by CGE included accommodation, breakfasts, golf and airport transfers. Booking just the room with the resort, at their published rates, would have been much more expensive than the cost for the whole package that was provided by CGE.

We are now in our 70’s and thought that this might be our last trip to Mission Hills but we have re-thought this and plan to go back in a couple of years if we can.

I joined CGE for my first golf trip to Mission Hills China, in November 2025. 

Everything was just superb, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone considering it!

The transportation arrangements, accommodation venue, and selection of golf courses were all well taken care of and efficiently managed by our host, Steven Baron of CGE Golf. 

The group was small enough (20) to get to know everyone and enjoy the camaraderie and life stories over a drink or dinner after a wonderful day of golf. 

I will be looking forward to joining CGE Golf again on a future trip!

From the get-go of contacting you for quotes till the end of our stay in Hainan Island, CGE Golf has provided exceptional prompt, friendly service and great communication. The hotels arrangement, transfers were smooth and efficient. Of course, the 6 golf courses we played on were phenomenally good and enjoyed each and every round.

Steffen was particularly amazed with how you have picked up our call at 5pm (Melbourne time) on New Year's Eve when there was a little misunderstanding with the Dunes GC and resolved it promptly and professionally. He does not reckon any other company would have done that.

We would definitely recommend CGE Golf to our golfing friends and would be interested to visit Hainan Island again, but may be with a group organised by CGE Golf.
